Paul M. Anderson - CPA/PFS, firm President, founded the firm in 2000. Prior to starting the firm, Mr. Anderson was president and an owner of a local firm for 18 years. Mr. Anderson’s expertise is in the area of taxation and financial planning. Paul earned an accounting degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and local CPA chapter. He is also an active member of the University Methodist Church and participates on community boards. Mr. Anderson is married to Andrea, who is an elementary school educator. They have two children and three grandchildren. His hobbies include hiking and travel.
Ross W. Johns - CPA, received a B.B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin and has worked in Public Accounting for the past 30 years. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and the audit partner in charge of all accounting and audit engagements. Ross has specialties in construction, non-profit, small governments, homeowners associations, and business valuations. Ross enjoys spending time with his wife, Carol, an elementary school educator, and their two grown sons (one a financial consultant and the other a “rock star”) An active Kiwanian, his interest include serving on non-profit boards and working with youth at his church.
Ann Yao - CPA/MBA, graduated with a MBA degree in Accounting from Angelo State University. In 1997, Ann began her professional accounting career in the private sector. Later she started in public accounting where she has spent the past 5 years, part of which was with a national accounting firm as a Tax Senior. Her professional affiliations include AICPA, TSCPA and local CPA Chapter. As a dedicated member of the Asian community, Ann is the current Treasurer of the Alamo Asian American Chamber of Commerce, and has held a membership chair on two international associations. Ann also serves as a Chinese teacher at the First Chinese Baptist Church. Ann and her husband Ken have one daughter Allison, age 3.
Rita Lopez graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in May 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. She returned to UTSA and received a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance in May 2006. Rita has been with the firm since September 2002 and is currently working on becoming a Certified Public Accountant. Some of her hobbies include working on the yard of her home and playing sports. She also spends her spare time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and visiting family and friends in the Rio Grande Valley.
Judy Munter, a Certified Public Accountant, graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. Her employment background includes working with a Savings and Loan Company as well as a CPA firm in Houston, Texas before joining her husband’s Law Firm in San Antonio. Judy has been with the company since January 2005. Her prior accounting and industry experience provides her with a broad practical approach in dealing with business issues. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, watching movies and volunteering.
Crystal Byun, a Certified Public Accountant, graduated from Korea University, one of top ranked universities in Korea, with a Bachelor of Art in Statistics. She started her accounting experience as an accountant for a public CPA firm and was also an assistant controller at a global on-line game company in California. Crystal has had a busy 2008. After getting married in January, she relocated to Texas and joined the firm in February. Crystal enjoys travelling with her husband during her spare time and her next destination is South Africa.
Elizabeth Flores graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in December 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and continued her education to obtain a second degree in Accounting which she received in December 2004. Her employment background includes experience in the restaurant, banking, tax and manufacturing industries. She is a member of the TSCPA. Elizabeth is currently working on becoming a Certified Public Accountant. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching people to dance, working on crafts, and spending time with her family.
Kevin McCarthy has lived in San Antonio for most of his life. He is a part-time student at UTSA completing his BBA in Accounting. Kevin is the father of almost-3-year-old twin boys, Corbin and Conner. His wife Hilary is busy full time taking care of Corbin and Conner. Kevin is a 1996 graduate of Clark High School. He enjoys many outdoor activities. He especially enjoys flying and sailing. He and Hilary and the kiddos enjoy trips to the Coast.
Jamie Peng started her career with the company after she graduated from University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a degree in Banking & Finance as well. She is involved in different professional organizations, including the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. In her spare time, she likes to play tennis and volunteer for the community. Jamie currently provides volunteer income tax assistance and has done so for three years. She will continue contributing to her community to help more people.
