Paul M. Anderson - CPA/PFS, firm President, founded the firm in 2000. Prior to starting the firm, Mr. Anderson was president and an owner of a local firm for 18 years. Mr. Anderson's expertise is in the area of taxation and financial planning. Paul earned an accounting degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and local CPA chapter. He is also an active member of the University Methodist Church, serves on the board of the Methodist Healthcare Ministries, and a member of the Methodist Healthcare System Board of Governors. Mr. Anderson is married to Andrea, who is an elementary school educator. They have two children and four grandchildren. His hobbies include hiking and travel.
Ross W. Johns - CPA, received a B.B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin and has worked in Public Accounting for the past 30 years. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and the audit partner in charge of all accounting and audit engagements. Ross has specialties in non-profit organizations, retail and wholesale businesses, homeowners associations, construction, and business valuations. Ross enjoys spending time with his wife, Carol, an elementary school educator, and their two grown sons (one a financial consultant and the other a “rock star”). An active Kiwanian, his interest include serving on non-profit boards and church committees.
Ann Yao - CPA/PFS, graduated with a MBA degree in Accounting from Angelo State University. In 1997, Ann began her professional accounting career in the private sector. Later she started in public accounting where she has spent the past 5 years, part of which was with a national accounting firm as a Tax Senior. Her professional affiliations include AICPA, TSCPA and local CPA Chapter. As a dedicated member of the Asian community, Ann is the past Treasurer of the Alamo Asian American Chamber of Commerce, and has held a membership chair on two international associations. Ann is the Assistant Treasurer at the First Chinese Baptist Church. Ann and her husband Ken have one daughter Allison, age 6.
Judy Munter, a Certified Public Accountant, graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. Her employment background includes working with a Savings and Loan Company as well as a CPA firm in Houston, Texas before joining her husband’s Law Firm in San Antonio. Judy has been with the company since January 2005. Her prior accounting and industry experience provides her with a broad practical approach in dealing with business issues. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, watching movies and volunteering.
Sara Hoehn graduated from the University of Maine in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and moved to San Antonio in January 2009. She will be pursuing an MBA in Accounting in the spring. In her spare time, Sara enjoys baking goodies for the office, swimming, and visiting friends and family in New England.
Carolyn Friemel - CPA, initially worked for many years in the savings & loan industry. Carolyn later returned to college to obtain a B.B.A. from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and has worked in the accounting field for the past 15 years. She enjoys painting, writing poetry, hiking with her husband Rick, and is an active member of her church. Carolyn and her husband have two grown children, and they have one grandson with whom they love spending time.
